Whoa Nellie!

Like many dogs out there, Nellie can be wary of new people. It takes a bit to earn her trust. And that makes it all the sweeter for walk team Daniela and Camilla, who now have the official thumbs–er, “paws up” from this great girl. Hooray!

Rest in peace, Daffodil

Here at PugetPets, our thoughts are with staffer Stacy, whose beloved kitty Daffodil passed away earlier this week. “Daffy” had been Stacy’s companion for more than eighteen years: she’ll be be missed not only by mom Stacy, but also by kitty sisters Cloe, Lorelei and PK. We remember her with this video.

Look at that sweet innocent face!

Hee hee! Her two doggie brothers and her human parents know that that sweet face hides the heart of one tough cookie. Meet Greta, the mini-daschund who absolutely rules the roost at home. Tiny but mighty! And so much fun on our walks and pet sits.

We’re in awe . . .

. . .  of the Seattle Humane Society! Whether we’re partnering with them in ongoing education fundraisers, adopting from them, or caring for clients’ pets who are Humane Society “alumni,” we are continually amazed by this organization that brings so much to so many and makes such a huge contribution to the community.

And naturally, we just couldn’t resist making this fun little video in support of their work . . . .

Does your dog shoplift?

Our client, Millie, tells us her dog does! That’s right. Anytime Millie and her pup–we’ll call him “Fido” to protect his identity–go into a store like MudBay, All The Best or PetCo, Fido lurks around the open treat bin, looks to make sure no one is watching, snatches a treat into his mouth, and chews it down only once he and Millie are out of the store! Millie caught him red handed (red mouthed?) at this, and of course offered to pay for his ill-gotten booty. Since then, she keeps a careful watch. She’s realized she has a “career criminal” on her hands!

Here he is: “Fido” the doggie shoplifter: face obscured to protect his true identity!

"Fido" the shoplifting dog!
